BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee a pivotal project. This role encompasses a 40-hour work week, adhering to a flexible schedule. We are committed to selecting the right candidate for our upcoming initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will handle various aspects of building and site upkeep for our client. Your duties will include:

  • Overseeing all subcontractors on-site, ensuring that tasks are completed to the highest standards while maintaining safe working practices.
  • Fostering strong, effective relationships with clients, their representatives, and various site teams.
  • Assisting in the negotiation and placement of contract orders, adhering to company policies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Monitoring service delivery in collaboration with contract teams.
  • Developing and implementing robust risk management processes and procedures.
  • Preparing Risk Assessments and creating Method Statements for on-site work.
  • Managing the onsite Permit to Work (PTW) system.
  • Conducting quality audits of completed work.
  • Implementing health and safety (H&S), quality assurance (QA), and environmental policies in partnership with corporate support teams.
  • Identifying and procuring essential spare parts to ensure operational continuity.
  • Ensuring all planned and reactive tasks are completed within contractual timelines.
  • Coordinating planned maintenance activities to achieve 100% compliance with client requirements.
  • Assisting in the provision of associated services within project facilities, including plumbing, inspections, and managing minor works projects.
  • Estimating and overseeing minor work projects.
Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and presentation abilities.
  • Proven experience in a technical role within a busy service environment, preferably in R&D or a related sector.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications, ideally at HNC level, including testing and inspections.
  • Knowledge of the 18th edition electrical regulations.
  • Experience in building maintenance and troubleshooting a variety of equipment, including chillers, fire suppression systems, HVAC, boiler plants, ventilation, pumps, switchgear, and lighting.
  • The ability to interpret and diagnose faults using as-installed drawings and specifications.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Competency in IT applications, particularly work order management platforms.
  • Reliability and the ability to take initiative in daily tasks.
