BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Lead to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing maintenance operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities.

Your Responsibilities

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and addressing reactive maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Managing all subcontractors on-site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients and site teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Assisting in the negotiation and execution of contract orders in line with company policies.
  • Developing and implementing effective risk management processes and procedures.
  • Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements for site activities.
  • Overseeing the Permit to Work (PTW) system on-site.
  • Conducting quality audits on completed work.
  • Implementing health & safety (H&S), quality assurance (QA), and environmental policies in collaboration with corporate support teams.
  • Identifying and procuring essential spare parts to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinating planned maintenance schedules with clients to achieve full compliance.
  • Providing support for various services within the project facilities, including plumbing, inspections, and minor works management.
  • Estimating and managing minor work projects.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation abilities.
  • Proven experience in a technical role within a busy service environment.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications, ideally at HNC level, including testing and inspections.
  • Knowledge of the 18th edition electrical regulations.
  • Experience in building maintenance and troubleshooting various equipment.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Proficiency in IT applications, particularly work order management systems.
  • Reliability and the ability to take initiative in daily tasks.
