Position Overview
We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support a young girl aged 9 who has myoclonic muscular dystrophy and utilizes a wheelchair. This role involves attending to her personal care requirements.
The young girl enjoys a variety of activities including baking, swimming, crafting, and watching television. She has a passion for music, dancing, and bowling; however, she may find certain environments overwhelming and will require ear defenders in those situations. She communicates her needs through sign language and gestures, and is beginning to use a speech-generating device.
