About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, living in their own homes in Market Weighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing basic personal care, assisting residents with daily activities, and ensuring they take their medication as prescribed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
  2. Assist residents with daily activities, including cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  3. Ensure residents take their medication as prescribed.
  4. Support residents to attend appointments, including hospital visits, GP appointments, and dental appointments.
  5. Encourage residents to engage in activities, such as board games, X-Box, watching movies, arts & crafts, and painting.
  6. Support residents to participate in community activities, such as dancing, planning music events, fancy dress parties, swimming, creative activities, or shopping.

Requirements:
  1. UK driving licence
  2. Manual driving experience
  3. Female Care Assistant or Support Worker experience
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
