About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join a compassionate and caring school community in Market Weighton. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students with diverse learning needs, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Work alongside teachers to adapt resources and materials to meet individual student needs effectively.
  2. Provide focused assistance to students in small groups or one-on-one settings, ensuring they receive the support necessary for academic success.
  3. Help maintain a positive and engaging learning atmosphere that encourages participation and growth.
  4. Foster strong relationships with students to promote their social and emotional well-being, as well as their educational development.
  5. Collaborate with the teaching staff to monitor student progress and share insights to enhance learning outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students and staff effectively.
  • A commitment to supporting students and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Prior experience in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential; we welcome enthusiastic candidates ready to learn and grow.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for education and inclusivity.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
