We are seeking a Senior Collections & House Officer to contribute to the operations at Blickling Estate.

Your expertise in planning and programming will be essential in a collaborative, creative, and supportive environment. We require an individual who can advocate for exceptional collections management practices, design engaging programming, and collaborate across various sectors of the estate to narrate diverse stories.



Work Environment

Reporting to the Property Curator, you will oversee a team of three Collections & House Officers and volunteers, ensuring effective collections management throughout the estate. Your role will involve redefining significance and developing strategies for preservation and broad dissemination.



Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and executing programming projects and core interpretation, ensuring resources are available for a comprehensive schedule of activities linked to estate programming.
  • Managing the creation of new inventory records and planning for legal ownership and provenance to enhance the diversity of conserved, interpreted, and presented materials.
  • Leading by example to foster a culture of excellent visitor engagement with our collections and the values of the National Trust.
  • Supervising the daily operations of the house and the presentation of the collection, focusing on visitor welcome and experience.
