We are seeking a Lead Collections Manager to become an integral part of our team at the National Trust.

In this role, you will utilize your expertise in planning and programming to contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and supportive environment. We require an individual who can advocate for exceptional collections stewardship, design engaging programming, and collaborate across various sectors of the estate to convey diverse narratives.

Work Environment

Reporting directly to the Property Curator, you will oversee a dedicated team of three Collections Managers and volunteers, implementing effective collections stewardship throughout the estate. Your leadership will help us redefine significance and develop strategies for preservation and broad dissemination.

Key Responsibilities

You will be accountable for the planning and execution of programming initiatives and core interpretation, ensuring that necessary resources are allocated to deliver a comprehensive schedule of activities aligned with estate programming and supporting our cherished estate vision.

Your responsibilities will include managing the development of new inventory records and planning for legal ownership and provenance efforts to enhance the diversity of our conservation, interpretation, and public presentation. By leading through example, you will foster a culture of outstanding visitor engagement, connecting our guests with our collections and the values upheld by the National Trust.

Additionally, you will supervise the daily operations of the house and the presentation of the collection, focusing on visitor welcome and experience one day each week and one weekend every four weeks.
