We are seeking a Lead Collections Manager to become a vital part of our team at the National Trust.

In this role, you will leverage your organizational and programming expertise within a collaborative, innovative, and supportive environment. We require an individual who can advocate for exemplary collections stewardship, design impactful programming, and engage with various facets of the estate to narrate diverse narratives.

Work Environment

Reporting directly to the Property Curator, you will oversee a dedicated team of three Collections Managers and volunteers, implementing efficient collections management practices across the estate. Your leadership will help us redefine significance and formulate strategies for preservation and broad dissemination.

Key Responsibilities

You will take charge of planning and executing programming initiatives and core interpretative efforts, ensuring that necessary resources are allocated to deliver a comprehensive array of activities aligned with the estate's vision.

Additionally, you will manage the development of new inventory records and strategize on legal ownership and provenance to enhance the diversity of our conservation, interpretation, and public presentation efforts. By setting a strong example, you will foster a culture of outstanding visitor engagement, connecting our guests with our collections and the core values of the National Trust.

You will also supervise the daily operations of the house and the presentation of the collection, focusing on visitor experience one day each week and one weekend every four weeks.
