Job Description

Brakes is seeking a highly skilled Customer Demand Analyst to join our Demand Planning team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role is based at our Ashford office.

The Customer Demand Analyst is responsible for all forecast activities associated with customers and products, managing the interaction between Supply Planning and customer-facing colleagues to provide an optimum customer experience.

The role creates and manages the demand for their categories, incorporating statistics and business intelligence and other demand signals to improve service for the customers of the demand plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining system-generated forecasts for a defined area of responsibility to drive continuous improvement to company-set targets.
  • Carrying out analysis of sales history, seasonal, and forthcoming events or activities to generate an optimal demand signal.
  • Manage forecasting processes at both detail and aggregated levels, utilizing the best-fit statistical model.
  • Collaborative demand planning with other teams to drive good communication and improvements in the demand forecast signal.
  • Communicating to supply chain colleagues to advise changes to the forecast.
  • Root cause analysis techniques to establish underlying causes of KPI shortfalls and implement improvement plans to rectify.
  • Support the governance of customer insights/business intelligence.
  • Support projects in Demand Planning and around the business as required.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement.

About the Role:

Experience of working in a fast-paced FMCG Supply Chain position is highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will have high numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a detailed understanding of Excel, particularly pivot tables, v-lookups, SQL, and Power Query experience.
