Housing Management Worker

About the Role

Nacro is a national social justice charity with over 50 years of experience in changing lives, building stronger communities, and reducing crime. We are seeking a skilled Housing Management Worker to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of disadvantaged young people and adults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide housing management and intensive housing management to customers at risk of homelessness living in self-contained accommodation.
  • Work as part of a team to manage a portfolio of properties and tenancies across a designated area, providing an intensive Housing Management Service to a core group of people.
  • Support tenants to manage their tenancy, assist with housing benefit claims, and signpost them to relevant support services.
  • Work in partnership with the Housing Management team to ensure compliance with Tenure Law, Housing policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure all required health and safety checks are undertaken, taking necessary remedial action.

Requirements

  • Housing qualification and understanding of the welfare benefits system.
  • Qualified to a minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Ability to build rapport and trusted relationships with customers and outside agencies.
  • Previous experience of working in Housing Management is desirable.
  • Ability to drive and access to a car is required.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
