Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team at Airflow Developments Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Maintain Relationships: Establish a professional working relationship with Senior Contacts within the Merchant Channel and plan activity within these Senior Contacts sales areas.
  • Customer Understanding: Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements to ensure Airflow becomes their ventilation brand of choice.
  • Effective Communication: Work closely to formulate effective working relationships with Branch Managers, Store Managers, Showroom Managers, and other key branch employees to ensure Airflow products are the first ventilation product of choice in these identified resellers.
  • Log Activity: Log activity onto a CRM system and use this tool for information to conduct professional sales meetings.
  • Regional Coverage: Cover the region to ensure all identified customers, as well as favored National customers, are seen.
  • Quarterly Meetings: Head office contacts must be seen quarterly to discuss sales numbers and activity plan.
  • Diary Management: Outlook diary to be current and updated with months' calls logged.
  • Business Appointments: 3 fixed 'business' appointments a day, call criteria to be agreed by line manager.
  • Sales Targets: Focus on personal and contribute to team's sales targets and how to achieve and exceed these targets.
  • Communication Link: Serve as the link of communication between key customers and Airflow internal teams.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Reporting: Ensure all Airflow reports are submitted in a timely and correct manner.
  • New Sales: Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with immediate line management, senior management, and internal and external colleagues while also being considerate to individuals' priorities.
  • Progress Reports: Prepare regular reports of key customers' progress and forecasts to Airflow management and external key decision makers.
  • Communication Skills: Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a key account manager.
  • Ventilation Sales Experience: Experience in ventilation sales and providing the correct solutions based on customer needs.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude in building strong relationships with professionals at all organisational levels.
  • Problem-Solving and Negotiation: Must be able to demonstrate proven problem-solving and negotiation.
  • CRM System Experience: Previous experience of using a Customer Record Management system.
  • Technology and Legislation: Must be able to demonstrate the ability to grasp technology and legislation.
  • Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Ability to demonstrate excellent self-motivation while also being able to work as a contributing team member.
  • Sales Data Analysis: Ability to demonstrate how to analyse sales data to enable them to understand their area and identify any key concerns or opportunities.
  • Time Management: Time management is a key success indicator.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in the English Language both spoken and written.
  • Office 365 Proficiency: Proficient in the use of Office 365 software to include – Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook.
  • Minimum Sales Experience: 2 years minimum sales experience, preferably within the ventilation sector and/or Merchant sector.
  • Previous Sales Results: Must be able to demonstrate previous sales results focused with good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Must be prepared to travel and work evenings and weekends when the business requires it.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid UK Driver's license.
