About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team at Airflow Developments Ltd. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the ventilation sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with senior contacts within the merchant channel and key electrical wholesalers.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements to ensure Airflow becomes their preferred ventilation brand.
  • Work closely with branch managers, store managers, and other key branch employees to promote Airflow products as the first choice in ventilation solutions.
  • Log activity onto a CRM system and use this tool to conduct professional sales meetings.
  • Cover the region to ensure all identified customers and national customers are seen regularly.
  • Meet with head office contacts quarterly to discuss sales numbers and activity plans.
  • Manage a current and updated outlook diary with monthly calls logged.
  • Meet three fixed business appointments per day, with call criteria agreed by line manager.
  • Focus on personal and team sales targets, and contribute to achieving and exceeding these targets.
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and Airflow internal teams.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints to maintain trust and satisfaction.
  • Ensure all Airflow reports are submitted in a timely and correct manner.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales and building long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Work closely with immediate line management, senior management, and internal and external colleagues.
  • Prepare regular reports of key customers' progress and forecasts to Airflow management and external key decision makers.
  • Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a key account manager in the ventilation sector.
  • Experience in ventilation sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with professionals at all organisational levels.
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience of using a customer record management system.
  • Ability to grasp technology and legislation.
  • Excellent self-motivation and ability to work as a contributing team member.
  • Ability to analyse sales data to understand the area and identify key concerns or opportunities.
  • Time management is a key success indicator.
  • Fluent in the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Proficient in the use of Office 365 software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the ventilation sector and/or merchant sector.
  • Previous sales results focused with good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
