Position Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will primarily focus on managing Indirect Tax responsibilities while also encompassing some aspects of Direct Tax.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accurate and timely submission of all necessary direct and indirect tax returns across various jurisdictions.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of transactional data and perform reconciliations to ensure compliance.
  • Support the Financial Accounting Manager with both periodic and ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Participate in the development of our ERP system (SAP S4 Hana), contributing to the integration of a tax engine solution.
  • Assist the broader business in understanding and adhering to newly established processes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possession of an accounting qualification (fully qualified AAT or ATT, part or fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA, or relevant degree).
  • Proven experience in preparing and submitting VAT compliance submissions for both UK and international operations, along with Corporate Tax returns.
  • Experience working across multiple countries or regions is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial systems (experience with SAP is advantageous), along with excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to strict deadlines, demonstrating self-motivation and effective prioritization skills.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
