Indirect Tax Specialist

BLT Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our client's Indirect Tax Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact on the business and oversee all UK Indirect Tax matters.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing business advisory services on all indirect tax matters across the UK business, managing VAT compliance processes, and ensuring timely and accurate tax returns reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide business advisory services on all indirect tax matters across the UK business.
- Manage VAT compliance processes and ensure timely and accurate tax returns reporting.
- Manage the UK Indirect Tax Assistant, setting objectives and managing deliverables.
- Document and maintain the Tax Risk Register for SAO compliance.
- Work with the Group Head of Indirect Tax and key stakeholders to implement longer-term processes as part of the indirect tax strategy.
- Provide training and raise awareness of indirect tax matters.
- Manage and mitigate risks, and identify and optimize opportunities for tax savings.
