Position Summary

The Credit Risk Analyst will be instrumental in refining our credit risk strategies within the Unsecured Loans division. This role involves analyzing data to extract insights, developing innovative underwriting strategies, and ensuring responsible lending practices through comprehensive affordability models. Your goal will be to make informed, data-driven decisions that bolster our credit risk management while facilitating the expansion of our lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough credit risk analyses to guide decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the creation, execution, and evaluation of cutting-edge underwriting strategies.
  • Develop and enhance affordability models to promote responsible lending.
  • Explore and integrate new data sources to improve credit risk evaluations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, to present findings and recommendations.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at implementing impactful credit risk modifications.
  • Provide analytical support for new product launches and portfolio management.
  • Work collaboratively within a team while also managing independent tasks as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in analytics, preferably within the financial services or lending sectors.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar analytical programming languages for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work autonomously and juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in credit risk is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.
