Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to enhance our Unsecured Loans division. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in formulating our credit risk policies. Your analytical prowess will allow you to extract valuable insights from data, develop sound underwriting frameworks, and promote responsible lending practices through comprehensive affordability assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough credit risk evaluations to guide strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the creation, execution, and oversight of forward-thinking underwriting methodologies.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of affordability models to uphold responsible lending standards.
- Engage in the identification and integration of novel data sources to refine credit risk evaluations.
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership, to present findings and strategic recommendations.
- Play a role in initiatives aimed at implementing significant credit risk improvements, ensuring effective execution.
- Provide analytical insights for new product initiatives and ongoing portfolio management.
- Function effectively within a team while also managing individual responsibilities as needed.
Key Requirements
- Proven analytical experience, ideally within the financial services or lending sectors.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar analytical programming languages for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders across various levels.
- A collaborative team player who can also work autonomously and juggle multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in credit risk is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.
