Job Title: Night Coordinator

Are you a seasoned Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Coordinator to join our team at Cefn Carnau, a low secure/rehabilitation service for adults with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability.

Job Summary:

The Night Coordinator will be responsible for leading and managing the quality of nursing care for service users during night shifts, ensuring the service runs smoothly. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing leadership and support to nursing staff on night shifts across wards.
  • Undertake clinical supervision with night staff.
  • Identify any night time cost pressures and take steps to minimize/eradicate their impact on the budget.
  • Manage staff allocation, redeployments, and daily numbers on the ward and additional use of premium rate staff to ensure budget is tightly controlled and effectively managed.
  • Work closely with the on-site staff coordinator to ensure adequate staffing is considered and booked for the night and day teams.
  • Provide statistics and reports as required by the Hospital Director/Deputy Hospital Director.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience as RMN/RNLD.
  • First-level nurse with evidence of professional development, relevant skills, and knowledge.
  • Awareness of the wider Healthcare economy and political environment.
  • Relevant clinical experience in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership skills.
