About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Night Coordinator at Cefn Carnau, a low secure/rehabilitation service for adults with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the quality of nursing care for service users during night shifts, ensuring the service runs smoothly.
  • Provide nursing leadership and support to nursing staff on night shifts across wards.
  • Undertake clinical supervision with night staff.
  • Identify any night time cost pressures and take steps to minimise/eradicate their impact on the budget.
  • Manage staff allocation, redeployments and daily numbers on the ward and additional use of premium rate staff to ensure budget is tightly controlled and effectively managed.
  • Work closely with the on-site staff coordinator to ensure adequate staffing is considered and booked for the night and day teams.
  • Provide statistics and reports as required by the Hospital Director/Deputy Hospital Director.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience as RMN/RNLD.
  • First level nurse with evidence of professional development, relevant skills and knowledge.
  • Awareness of the wider Healthcare economy and political environment.
  • Relevant Clinical Experience in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership skills.
