Long Haul Travel Specialist

Are you a travel enthusiast with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences? Do you have a deep understanding of long haul travel and a talent for crafting bespoke itineraries? We're seeking a skilled Long Haul Travel Specialist to join our team at C&M Travel Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and agents via phone, email, and video calls.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source products and rates for tailor-made travel enquiries.
  • Utilize your expertise to convert enquiries into sales and provide proactive support to customers.
  • Manage the sales and customer service journey, ensuring customers are informed of any operational changes.
  • Handle customer issues efficiently and effectively, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
  • Produce personalized documentation for every customer.
  • Contribute to the product team by providing input and feedback on product knowledge, pricing, and competitor analysis.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a travel tailor-made sales role, with a background in tour operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Africa, preferably through personal travel or experience in creating bespoke itineraries. Knowledge of Asia/India is also beneficial.
  • Experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a genuine desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Good knowledge of supplier contracts and costing itineraries.
  • Working knowledge of a travel GDS, such as Amadeus or Galileo.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
