Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Travel Specialist to join our team at C&M Travel Recruitment. As a Long Haul Travel Specialist, you will be responsible for creating bespoke, extraordinary experiences for our clients traveling to Asia, India, and Africa. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement tailored travel itineraries, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries: Respond to customer calls, emails, and video calls in a timely and efficient manner, providing expert advice and guidance on long haul travel options.
  • Liaise with suppliers: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to obtain rates and source product for bespoke tailor-made enquiries.
  • Develop and implement travel itineraries: Use your specialist knowledge to create detailed, long haul tailor-made itineraries, taking into account customer preferences and requirements.
  • Manage customer relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded throughout the sales and customer service journey.
  • Handle customer issues: Proactively address and resolve any customer issues or concerns, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
  • Provide exceptional customer service: Deliver exceptional customer service through all channels, ensuring customers receive a personalized and tailored experience.
  • Support product development: Contribute to the development of new products and services, providing input and feedback on product knowledge, pricing information, and competitor analysis.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven expertise in a travel tailor-made sales role, with a background in tour operations.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Africa, preferably through own traveling and/or putting together bespoke itineraries. Knowledge of Asia/India would also be beneficial.
  • Sales experience: Experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Customer service skills: Exceptional customer service skills, with a genuine desire to exceed customers' expectations.
  • Supplier knowledge: Good knowledge of supplier contracts and costing itineraries.
  • Travel GDS: Working knowledge of a travel GDS - Amadeus or Galileo preferred but not essential.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills: Flexible approach, with a proactive, creative approach to problem-solving.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum, plus uncapped commission.
  • Home-based role: Fully home-based, with all equipment provided.
  • Flexible working hours: 37-hour working week, currently 9 to 5 Monday to Friday and Saturdays 10 to 2 on a rota.

  • Holidays: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off.
