About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cluster Financial Controller to join our team at Middle Eight. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the financial operations of our hotel properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the financial operations of two hotel properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  • Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve financial efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to hotel management and staff.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial management and leadership, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with hotel staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including accounting and budgeting tools.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, including tax laws and financial reporting standards.
