About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Director of People & Culture to join our team at The Arts Club. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment that reflects our commitment to service excellence and providing support across the club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all recruitment and selection activities to ensure we attract and retain top talent.
  • Drive our training and development culture to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with management to develop and implement performance management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and suggest initiatives to enhance employee engagement and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners.
  • Support the management of HR/Payroll/Internal comms systems to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve business objectives and contribute to a positive work environment.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced professional with at least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Private members' club experience is a plus. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Sound HR generalist knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Comfortable handling all levels of people matters, from recruitment to performance management.
  • Confident, professional, and welcoming personality.
  • Strategically minded and hands-on, with a close understanding of the business.
  • Able to identify and create new systems and procedures.
  • Standards-driven with the ability to organize and plan ahead.
  • Flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
