The Role

As a Relationship Manager, you'll have an exciting opportunity to build, manage, and develop a portfolio of lending clients. You'll be an ambassador for The Co-operative Bank, delivering excellent customer service and creating and building relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forge strong links in the local business community to create awareness of our values and services.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with an assigned customer portfolio to ensure high satisfaction and maximize business return.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of customer portfolios and product features to research and understand business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead by example in accordance with our Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite, and ethical policy.
  • High-level credit skills to negotiate and move deals through to drawdown.
  • Lead the development of operational policies and procedures.
  • Be an ambassador for the Bank and SME Banking at internal and external forums.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service ethic.
  • Foundation credit skills in a commercial lending environment.
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage risk and travel to customer locations.
  • Confident selling and marketing products.
