Position Overview:

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a background in civil or military engineering to join our dynamic consulting team. This role is pivotal in supporting critical naval development programs within the UK Defence sector. Your engineering expertise will be essential in ensuring that all imported products and components meet UK regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive compliance evaluations to ensure adherence to UK legislation;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and project managers, to collect technical specifications;
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as compliance reports and user manuals;
  • Simplify complex technical information into clear compliance documentation;
  • Conduct ongoing research to remain informed about changing regulatory standards;
  • Manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Review and enhance existing documentation for precision and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A background in engineering, preferably within civil or military sectors;
  • Minimum of three years of experience in roles such as Maintenance Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Engineering Operations;
  • Military candidates are welcome, with preference for ranks such as Leading Hand, Petty Officer, Corporal, or Sergeant;
  • Familiarity with Defence Standards is advantageous;
  • Strong technical writing abilities to convey complex information clearly;
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation;
  • Excellent research and analytical skills to keep up with industry standards;
  • Proficient in technical writing tools and software, including Microsoft Office;
  • UK Security Clearance is preferred, or you must be a British citizen willing to undergo vetting.
