About the Role:

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our Defence Consulting team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of imported products and component parts for the UK Defence's No.1 priority Naval development Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough product compliance assessments to ensure adherence to relevant regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and specifications.
  • Author and update technical documentation, including compliance reports, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, compliance documentation.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple work packages simultaneously.
  • Review and revise existing documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Must have an engineering background in either civil or military domains.
  • At least three years engineering experience either as a Maintenance Engineer, Systems Engineer, Engineering Operations or equivalent.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information and technical drawings effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to stay current with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in using technical writing tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ideally you will have UK Security Clearance, or you must be a British citizen, and be prepared to go through vetting.
