Position Overview:

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a background in civil or military engineering to join our dynamic consulting team. This role is pivotal in supporting a key naval development program for the UK Defence sector. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all imported products and components meet UK regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive product compliance evaluations to verify adherence to UK legislation.
  • Engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and project managers, to collect necessary technical specifications.
  • Draft and revise technical documentation, such as compliance reports, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Convert intricate technical concepts into clear and concise compliance documentation.
  • Conduct ongoing research to remain informed about changing regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Review and enhance existing documentation for precision, consistency, and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering background in civil or military sectors is essential.
  • A minimum of three years of engineering experience in roles such as Maintenance Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Engineering Operations.
  • Military candidates of all ranks are welcome, with preference for those at Leading Hand, Petty Officer, Corporal, or Sergeant levels.
  • Familiarity with Defence Standards (e.g., DSA-02, ASEMS) is advantageous for military applicants.
  • Exceptional technical writing abilities, with a talent for conveying complex information and technical drawings effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to keep pace with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in technical writing tools and software, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • UK Security Clearance is preferred, or candidates must be British citizens willing to undergo vetting.
