About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team at GSF Car Parts, a leading automotive parts distributor in the UK and Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Head of Accounts Payable, processing high volumes of invoices, and ensuring timely payments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process and verify high volumes of stock invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Code and process non-stock invoices into the accounting system, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.
- Reconcile supplier statements monthly, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate payment of invoices.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing and reconciling accounts payable reports and statements.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Excel, with experience in using formulas, pivot tables, and macros. You will be highly organized, with excellent communication and attention to detail skills. If you have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with high-volume invoices, we encourage you to apply.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a multi-site organization.
- Accounts Payable experience and knowledge of MAM, MS Office.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high-volume invoices.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
