We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the team's overall strategy.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Monitor and report any changes in a young person's behavior or well-being to the relevant authorities.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and their families.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle, as travel may be required.
