Job Opportunity: Residential Childcare Support Worker

Budwood, a part of Polaris Community, is seeking a dedicated Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young adults with emotional behavioral difficulties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and guidance to young people, promoting their emotional and social well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Contribute to a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of young people are met.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including sleep-ins, and cover sicknesses and annual leave.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in residential childcare or be willing to work towards one.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car, as travel is required.
