Job Title: Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive living environment, promoting the well-being and dignity of all young people.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, families, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-ins and weekend shifts.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car, as this role will involve travelling.
