PIB Group is seeking a dedicated Data Protection Business Partner to contribute to our commitment to data security and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the Group Data Protection Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our policies and practices align with evolving data protection standards.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with various departments across the organization to implement and maintain robust data protection measures. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, including:

Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in projects aimed at streamlining and enhancing data protection implementation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues on data protection best practices and requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of compliance documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and document the diverse systems utilized across the Group, mapping their data flows and processes.
  • Create clear process maps and detailed data registers to facilitate understanding and management of data assets.
  • Offer insightful recommendations on data protection strategies and record management practices.
  • Maintain meticulous records of data breach notifications and ensure timely reporting procedures are followed.
  • Cultivate a strong data protection culture within PIB Group by promoting awareness and best practices.
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs to keep colleagues informed about evolving data protection regulations and internal policies.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in data protection legislation and industry standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships across departments.
  • A comprehensive understanding of data protection laws and regulations governing the industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and concise information dissemination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting, demonstrating a keen eye for detail.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in data protection or compliance roles within a similar organization.
  • Exposure to review or audit functions, showcasing attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of information security systems and best practices.
  • Professional certifications in data protection, such as CIPP or CIPM.
