Job Summary:

Taylor Root is pleased to be working with a leading media and broadcasting company to recruit a Senior Data Protection and Compliance Officer. This role will provide frontline support on all areas of data protection and compliance, as well as advising on anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, conflicts of interest, modern slavery, and other Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support stakeholders to navigate compliant use of personal data for new/existing products, services, and changes to business processes.
  • Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy risk assessments for projects.
  • Drafting privacy notices and policies.
  • Collaborate with other teams across the organization on projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in a data protection compliance role.
  • Experience working in a data protection compliance role that involves the practical delivery of privacy and assessment of risk into product or service design.
  • Good practical knowledge and application of key data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Experience assessing and drafting DPIAs and risk assessments.
  • Experience of drafting privacy notices and policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
