Business Development Representative

Drive Business Growth with IFS

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at IFS. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Lead Development: Utilize various channels to engage prospects and qualify them as valid sales opportunities.
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with assigned target accounts, providing value and working closely with sales representatives to set meetings and penetrate targeted accounts.
  • Competitive Advantage: Understand the functional competitive advantages of the IFS solution set and customize messaging to gain traction in accounts.
  • Gatekeepers and Decision Makers: Work through gatekeepers to gain access to the relevant person/s in the prospective organization hierarchy, understanding where the decision makers are located.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with pre-sales and marketing teams to develop the territory and identify high-quality opportunities, helping marketing implement account-based marketing campaigns based on account plans built in conjunction with sales, pre-sales, and marketing.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate electronic records of calls and contacts, updating prospect status within the contact management application.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1+ years of proven software telemarketing, business development, inside sales, or software sales experience.
  • Ability to ask open-ended questions to uncover needs, learn more about the prospect, and better qualify.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly coachable, willing to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific emphasis on telephone skills.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Experience with contact management applications, such as SalesLoft or Outreach.
