Senior Director of Travel Experience

KAYAK is seeking a seasoned Senior Director to lead our travel booking experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enhancing our travel search engine, optimizing checkout processes, and prioritizing projects through collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:- Optimize checkout processes to boost partner bookings
- Prioritize projects through collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Define and prioritize user problems and needs, accounting for multiple verticals, brands, locales, and languages
- Measure and analyze insights from product changes, chasing agreed-upon metrics and opportunities from data, user research, and A/B experiment results
- Work with customer support and UX to collect feedback from and respond to users
- Supervise the competitive landscape and stay informed about travel and e-commerce spaces, especially within Flights, and the latest capabilities across multiple platforms
- Specific experience in working with travel-related APIs and booking flows, with knowledge of New Distribution Capability (NDC) as a plus
- Familiarity with tailoring development approaches for web and mobile platforms based on use cases and constraints
- Proficiency in data analysis, including running SQL queries and using data to drive focus and team alignment
- Personal experience as a regular traveler, offering firsthand insight into user challenges during trip planning and online booking
- BS degree or equivalent experience required, technical background strongly preferred, MBA or similar experience advantageous
