About the Role

Hays Senior Finance is seeking an experienced Audit Director to join our team in Cambridge. As a senior member of our Corporate Services Group, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the team, including training, mentoring, and developing team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of auditors, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of assignments
  • Review and finalize audit reports, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, communicating engagement progress and financial information
  • Participate in audit planning, including risk assessment and audit strategy development
  • Collaborate with partners and other senior team members to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Proven experience in audit, with a strong background in UK practice and front-line client contact
  • Qualified to ICAEW/ACCA or by experience, with a working knowledge of corporation tax
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, and flexible, with a willingness to undertake travel and overnight stays
