About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SME Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team at Ecotricity. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base in the SME sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and working with them to achieve targets.
  • Provide quotations for both Gas and Power contracts, from the initial tender, through the negotiation and acceptance stages.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to engage with existing customers and acquire new business.
  • Work closely with other departments to cross-promote the company brand and products.
  • Propose and apply innovative solutions for the successful acquisition of new clients.
  • Support the launch of new products and services, taking opportunities to cross-sell where appropriate.
  • Follow up on internal account requests, sales and account call backs, industry queries, and general account management.
  • Support back-office in providing aftersales support and customer care.
  • Attend off-site client meetings when required.
  • Various standard and ad-hoc reporting to Senior Growth Manager.
  • Ensure availability to take calls and proactively work with other members of the SME sales team to ensure cover on phone lines at all times.
  • Process change of tenancies via the CRM and Salesforce systems and proactively contact all sales opportunities.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who is passionate about our vision for a Green Britain. You will have a strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and be an innovative thinker willing to try new approaches.

You will work closely with all departments to secure mutual customer targets and have a real passion for our mission to change the way energy is made and used in Britain.

Requirements
  • Understanding of the energy industry (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong skill level in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, or similar CRM.
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Packages.
