Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 1 Support

A vibrant Primary School is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

The successful applicant will work within a Year 1 class, supporting pupils with varied abilities. This will involve general support, with potential for small group/1:1 interventions.

This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 08:30-15:30, with the possibility of becoming permanent if all goes well. Previous experience working within KS1 is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with varied abilities in a Year 1 class.
  • Provide general support, with potential for small group/1:1 interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to deliver high-quality education.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working within KS1 is preferred.
  • A Level 2 Teaching Qualification or above is preferred.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
  • A friendly and enthusiastic personality is required.
  • The ability to offer differentiated learning and support pupils with SEND is necessary.
