Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged within our neurology department.

We are seeking a Therapy Support Assistant to work hours a day across a five-day workweek, with responsibilities that include weekend shifts on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the neurology therapy teams, assisting physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including:

  • Supporting physiotherapists and occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • Performing clerical and administrative duties, including computer-related tasks.
  • Carrying out housekeeping responsibilities.

This position plays a vital role in facilitating the timely discharge of patients from neurology wards.

Applicants should possess a solid educational background, including proficiency in mathematics and English, as well as basic computer skills. Relevant experience in a healthcare environment is crucial. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication abilities and a strong understanding of patient needs. We are looking for an individual who is adaptable and motivated, as this role can be physically demanding.

It is essential to exhibit initiative, work effectively with minimal supervision, and take responsibility for assigned tasks under the guidance of a physiotherapist or occupational therapist.

Qualifications and Experience
