Position Overview
An exciting opportunity exists within our neurology department for a dedicated therapy support assistant.
This role requires commitment to work hours per day over a five-day week, including participation in a weekend rota.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the neurology therapy teams, assisting physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation programs for patients.
Key Responsibilities
The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including:
- Supporting physiotherapists and occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Performing clerical and administrative duties, including computer work.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the therapy environment.
- Facilitating the efficient discharge of patients from neurology wards.
Applicants should possess a solid educational background, including proficiency in mathematics and English, along with basic computer skills. Relevant experience in a healthcare setting is crucial. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication abilities and a keen understanding of patient needs. We seek individuals who are adaptable and enthusiastic, as this role can be physically demanding.
