We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Unplanned Care Therapy Team at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients in our busy A&E and Assessment areas.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with complex needs, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement training programs for occupational therapy staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance to excel in their roles.
- Participate in departmental audits, research, and service development activities to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of innovative practice and service delivery models, ensuring they are aligned with Trust objectives.

Person Specification- Graduate Diploma or BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognized by HCPC.
- HCPC registration.
- Appropriate experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist, including core rotations in Orthopaedics, Medical or Frailty Inpatients, and Neurological Rehabilitation.
- Previous care experience, with a strong understanding of patient needs and the importance of effective communication.
