Regulatory Risk and Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regulatory Risk and Controls Associate to join our Retail Risk business function. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of key policy and regulatory changes that support performance expectations and good customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas where regulatory risks or issues may arise in our internal processes, with a view to improving the application of regulations across the business function.
- Develop and implement action plans to address identified areas of improvement, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
- Provide subject matter expertise to projects, risk partners, and stakeholders on Retail regulatory adherence, ensuring that our policies, processes, and Lifecycle Definition tools accurately reflect our regulatory position.
- Support reviews from Audit, Compliance, Chief Controls Office, and our regulators, analyzing feedback at a process and functional level, and articulating findings to stakeholders.
- Respond to emerging risks and regulation, ensuring that our policies, processes, and tools accurately reflect our regulatory position.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in Financial Services and a good knowledge of the FCA handbook and Regulations that impact Retail. You will have a proven track record of analyzing information and producing concise and informative reports and presentations, as well as providing accurate and expert regulatory and risk advice.
You will be a logical, inquisitive mind with an interest in regulations, policies, and processes, and will have strong relationship management and influencing skills to build trust and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business and externally.
You will be a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented individual who can think ahead and take planned action as appropriate.
