As such, they require a proactive individual who can utilize their initiative to collaborate with the existing team in a busy service environment.

Job Purpose:

As an Automotive Service Consultant, you will be tasked with providing a welcoming and efficient reception, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will uphold quality standards and contribute to ongoing process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To warmly greet all customers and promptly address their needs.
  • To gather and document comprehensive customer and vehicle information, along with an accurate description of the required services.
  • To communicate with the Senior Service Consultant or Service Manager regarding the status of vehicles in the workshop.
  • To notify customers of any delays in service completion.
  • To manage the workshop loading system effectively.
  • To inform customers of any incomplete work and schedule future appointments for completion.
  • To prepare invoices for both cash and account customers.
  • To present invoices to cash customers and process payments prior to vehicle release.
  • To handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints.
  • To ensure warranty-related information is accurately recorded on job cards.
  • To coordinate with the Parts Department regarding parts orders for vehicles in the workshop or for upcoming service appointments.
  • To maintain organized filing of job cards and related documentation.
  • To assist in achieving sales targets as established by the Aftersales Service Manager.

Requirements

About You:

  • Experience in the motor trade is essential.
  • Strong customer service and administrative skills.
  • A desire to advance into a more senior role with increased responsibilities.
  • A flexible approach and a positive demeanor.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience in a sales or customer service environment.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
