As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic leadership and management to ensure the programme's success and alignment with the priorities of the LEAPS partnership.

About the Programme:

LEAPS is a unique widening participation programme that aims to increase progression to higher education in South East Scotland. Funded by higher education and local council partners, as well as the Scottish Funding Council, LEAPS delivers the Scottish Funding Council's (SFC) Schools for Higher Education Programme (SHEP) in South East Scotland, as part of the National Schools Programme.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the LEAPS programme, ensuring alignment with the priorities of the LEAPS partnership
  • Provide strategic leadership and management to the programme team, including financial management of project and team budgets
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including higher education and local council partners, the Scottish Funding Council, and Skills Development Scotland (SDS)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and understanding of the principles of widening access and social mobility

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of leading partnership projects or services, with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate, negotiate, influence, and build effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrable commitment to and understanding of the principles of widening access and social mobility

What We Offer:

The University of Edinburgh offers a competitive salary of £61,198 to £75,498 per annum (Grade 9), as well as a range of benefits and opportunities for professional development.
