We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Machining & Process value stream, you will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and implementing Quality Control and Assurance initiatives within the special process area.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.
- Facilitate audits and process walkthroughs to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.
- Serve as a delegate to the Quality Manager when requested.
- Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement within the special process area.
- Facilitate problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, RRCA, DIVEs, etc.
- Align the quality strategy and objectives with the overall expectations of the organization.
- Participate in PFMEA, design reviews, and formal gate reviews to enhance product and process quality.
- Support process maturity improvement efforts within the clinic.
- Assist the quality team with escape management to prevent and address quality issues.
- Contribute to data analysis and project selection to drive quality improvements.
- Take ownership of project goals and objectives to ensure successful outcomes.
- Support special process triages, team talks, audits, and other quality-related activities.
- Deliver OSI, FOD, and damage prevention training to operators.
- Assist the team with containment and inspection activities as needed.
- Engineering background
- Ability to interpret & analyse Engineering drawings
- Excellent communication & problem solving skills
- Knowledge of QMS/AS9100 and NADCAP standards
- Experience with auditing and compliance
