About the Role:

We are seeking a Bank Hotel Services Assistant to join our team at Spire Shawfair Park Hospital in Edinburgh. As a Bank Hotel Services Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clinical staff to understand the special needs of the hospital on a day-to-day basis
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of equipment, checking for faults and reporting them to the line manager
  • Comply with all Health and Safety at Work regulations, including COSHH
  • Work with guidance on moving and handling, as identified in corporate and local policy and discussed at Mandatory training sessions
  • Maintain quality assurance and patient confidentiality at all times
  • Deliver meals and beverages to patients' rooms using previous waitressing/waiting experience
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from patients to ensure their comfortable stay
  • Assist the catering and housekeeping teams with day-to-day duties

Requirements:

  • A customer service-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in hospitality
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Willing and able to complete mandatory training for COSSH, Manual Handling, Infection Control, and Health & Safety in-house

Working Hours and Contract Type:

0-37.5 hours per week, Bank contract
