About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Network Engineer to join our team at SSE. As an Overhead Line Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of our transmission network projects, working closely with our project engineering team to ensure the safe and efficient design, construction, and operation of our overhead line systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on overhead line engineering matters, including design, construction, and operation.
- Lead on the development and implementation of engineering governance and risk management processes for overhead line projects.
- Act as the point of contact for overhead line engineering and represent the engineering function at key project meetings.
- Work closely with engineering managers and project managers to ensure that engineering and quality risks are identified and mitigated.
- Previous experience of overhead line engineering, leading a technical team through both the development and delivery stages, supporting/training the project team to address technical queries and reviewing technical reports.
