Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Project Manager - Technical Apprenticeship. This two-year programme is designed to develop your understanding of delivering projects in line with clear objectives and making decisions to manage stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a multi-skilled team to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan, execute, and monitor projects, ensuring timely completion of project tasks and deliverables.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand project needs and goals, whilst demonstrating SSE core values.
- Develop a clear understanding of safety management systems and best practices, ensuring project teams align with our safety culture.
- Lead Large Capital Projects, delivering substation, overhead line, and cable projects ranging in value from £10m to £2bn.
- Gain real hands-on experience on our key sites, build an invaluable network, and develop a unique set of skills which will shape your career.
- Work in a structured yet challenging development programme, with the support of the Learning and Development team and a business mentor.
Requirements:
- Flexible in your approach to work to maximise your chances of success.
- Happy working alone or as part of a team.
- Hold a full UK Driver's Licence, or be in the process of learning to drive, as there will be a requirement to travel to a number of our project sites.
