Job Title: Lead Project Engineer

Location: Inverness, UK

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our team in Inverness. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering projects from start to finish, managing the performance of project teams, and overseeing operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Project management: coordinate project liaison from inception to completion, meeting with clients to discuss requirements, and conducting site surveys as necessary.
  • Team leadership: instruct, direct, control, and allocate work to trade operatives & apprentices, emphasizing quality, productivity, and safety.
  • Quality assurance: manage project quality deliverables and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal and client quality systems.
  • Subcontractor management: liaise with subcontractors, manage tender specifications, quotations, and health and safety documentation review and appraisal.
  • Health and safety planning: prepare construction phase health and safety plans for projects with principal contractor responsibility under CDM.

Requirements:

  • Degree/HND/HNC in engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven track record in project management with an engineering or supervisory background.
  • Knowledge of common engineering tools, equipment, and materials.
  • UK driving licence.
