Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled technician to provide field service support for photocopiers and printers. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience with various brands and models, demonstrating the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
The technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of service activities and submitting regular reports. This role requires working in a dynamic environment, performing duties with professionalism and respect for client premises while ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Core Duties Include:

  • Providing technical support for the installation of new printing devices.
  • Configuring printers on the network and managing any necessary parts procurement and installation.
  • Ensuring proper paper loading to minimize jams and reduce maintenance calls.
  • Repairing and replacing faulty components in case of mechanical issues.
  • Monitoring ink levels and replacing cartridges as needed.
  • Maintaining awareness of new software and hardware advancements in laser printing.
  • Conducting regular maintenance without disrupting production workflows.
  • Troubleshooting network configuration issues for optimal printer functionality.
  • Collaborating with IT departments to ensure security through timely updates and patches.
  • Ensuring timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of office equipment while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience:

  • Proficient in basic networking concepts.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Experience in servicing printers from major manufacturers such as HP, Brother, Lexmark, and others.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and punctually.
  • Capable of providing detailed feedback on service calls, parts usage, and meter readings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to comprehend technical documentation.
  • Commitment to maximizing equipment uptime through prompt and effective repairs.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot.
  • Experience with cloud print management software.
  • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., Uniflow) is advantageous.
  • Ability to train end-users effectively.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
