We are seeking a dedicated Technician to join our team at UK Power Networks Services. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless execution of all planned construction and operational tasks within our service area.

Salary: Competitive compensation package including a base salary and additional allowances.

Role Overview:
The Technician will play a pivotal role in the delivery of construction and operational projects. While primarily based in the regional office, this position will involve travel to various sites as necessary. The Technician will report directly to the Senior Authorised Person on-site, who oversees safety protocols and the uninterrupted supply of electricity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Construct and maintain electrical assets ranging from 33kV to 433v.
- Collaborate with the Operational Engineer to ensure adherence to project timelines and financial plans.
- Conduct testing of protection systems and devices.
- Manage the construction and maintenance of Control and Protection Systems.
- Ideally, possess HV Authorised Person status with opportunities for advancement to SAP.
- Maintain and update the Asset database in relation to project activities.
- Assist in fault investigations and repairs.
- Conduct basic surveys and enter substations as required.
- Supervise contractors and manage site operations effectively.
- Keep comprehensive records of all operational activities, test results, and safety documentation.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in operational construction environments.
- A minimum of five years of verifiable work history.
- A clear criminal record check.
- The ability to obtain necessary security passes.
- A valid driver's license.
- Competency in working towards Authorised Person status for high and low voltage systems.
- Understanding of operational systems from 33kV to 433v.
- Willingness to be trained for confined space work.
- Either PASMA certification or a willingness to obtain training for scaffold erection.
- Compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Health and Safety:
- Adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Promote safety principles and identify potential hazards.
